Connect the SmartThings Outlet

Steps in SmartThings Connect.

  1. From the Home screen, touch the Plus (+) icon and select Device.
  2. Select SmartThings, touch Outlet, and then Outlet (IM6001-OTP).
  3. Touch Start.
  4. Choose a Hub for the device.
  5. Choose a Room for the device and touch Next.
  6. While the Hub searches, move the Outlet within 3m of the Hub and plug it in.


 




Using Aeotec Outlet


The SmartThings Outlet is now part of your Smart Home Hub network. It is displayed as an outlet widget that can show the switching status and energy consumption.


This section will go over how to display all information in your SmartThings Connect app.


Steps in SmartThings Connect

  1. Open SmartThings Connect
  2. Scroll down to your SmartThings Outlet
  3. Then tap SmartThings Outlet widget.
  4. On this screen, it should display:
    • ON/OFF
    • Watt Meter
    • Timer
    • On Time
    • Off Time

Factory reset your SmartThings Outlet


SmartThings Outlet can be factory reset at any time if you come across any issues, or if you need to re-pair SmartThings Outlet to another hub.

Steps in SmartThings Connect.

  1. Press and Hold the connect button for five (5) seconds.
  2. Release the button when the LED starts blinking blue.
  3. The LED will blink blue two times while attempting to connect.
  4. Use the SmartThings app and steps detailed in "Connect a SmartThings Outlet" above.
