Settings:

Various settings are possible in the SmartThings app via the Settings menu.

Temperature deviation:

  • Calibrate the temperature sensor if you detect a deviation from the actual temperature. The value range is possible from -10°C - 10°C in 0.1° steps.

Child lock:

  • Disables manual control of the thermostat

LCD Viewing direction:

  • Changes the direction of the thermostat display by 180°.

Vertical alignment:

  • Sets how the thermostat is oriented horizontal or vertical.

Control of the setpoint offset:

  • This setting gives you the possibility to adjust the set point. This can be used to make the radiator heat more to reach the set room temperature if, for example, the radiator is covered. Example: The setpoint was set to 22°C, but the radiator heats up to 24°C to reach the desired room temperature.

My new thermostat does not work with my Edge driver

The possible error could be that the driver used is too old.

Check the date of the used driver.

  1. Go to the device in the SmartThings app.
  2. Open the menu at the top right
  3. Tap Driver
  4. Under version the date should be at least, 2022-12-14
  5. Under Channel should be Popp-Edge-Driver-Channel

If the date is older, the driver must be updated. This may require removing older existing thermostats or temporarily switching to a different driver.

If the driver is different, install the device driver described in Edge Driver and relearn your devices.
