Popp Home is designed to control and manage up to 60 Z-Wave devices and work with thousands of Z-Wave devices apart from devices from the same manufacturer. Experience the ease of installation, elegant design, security along with an attached Full HD IP-Camera that works out of box with your smartphone Popp app. It is powered by Popp Z-Wave technology.


This gateway is compatible to Google Home, Alexa, IFTTT, and Z-Wave devices for the ultimate control experience.


A list of compatible devices can be found as a file in the attachment section at the bottom of this article.

Quick Start


Download the POPP Home App


Supported Systems:


- iOS 6.0 or later

- Android 4.0 or later


If there are problems with the Android QR code, follow the link.


Power on the POPP Home


Connect the power adapter to the POPP Home.

Do NOT connect the Ethernet cable yet. For wired setup please use the manual setup of your POPP Home.



Connect your mobile device to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi


Make sure your iOS/Android device is connected to the 2.4GHz of your Wi-Fi router.

Note: 5 GHz Wi-Fi is not supported



Smart Wi-Fi Setup


Open the app POPP Home and tap the “+” icon to add the POPP Home. Choose “Smart Wi-Fi setup” to set up the POPP Home with a Wi-Fi connection.



Generate QR Code


Follow the instructions in the app.



Establish Wi-Fi connection


When the Wi-Fi connection is established, the blue LED will start flashing and the red LED will remain on.



Now name your POPP Home.

Product Usage


Add a new device to your Popp Home



Known Z-Wave component from the list

  1. To add a new Z-Wave devices, select the "Z-Wave Components" menu and then the "+" symbol. 
  2. Select the manufacturer of your Z-Wave components. 
  3. Then select the product of this manufacturer.


Unknown Z-Wave component

  1. If you have a Z-Wave component that is not in the POPP Home list, then select "Other Z-Wave device" from the list of manufacturers. 
  2. Refer to the manual of the Z-Wave device you want to add and follow the steps below. Instructions for inclusion of this device you want to pair. (Typically you would tap the button once to have your Z-Wave device enter pair mode).


Remove a device from your Popp Home



Remove a known Z-Wave component from the list

  1. To remove a Z-Wave component, select the "-" sign in the "Components" menu. 
  2. Select the manufacturer of your Z-Wave components. 
  3. Then select the concrete product of this manufacturer.


Remove Unknown Z-Wave component

  1. If you have a Z-Wave component that is not in the POPP Home list, then select "Other Z-Wave device" from the list of manufacturers. 
  2. Refer to the manual of the Z-Wave device you want to remove and follow the steps below.



Update your Popp Home



  1. Here you can manually set up the POPP Home update. Normally, the camera view shows the notification of a new firmware update of your camera. 
  2. To perform an update manually, please contact Popp Support. They will send you the necessary data.


Reset accsess data of Popp Home


  1. Press the "Reset" button for 5 seconds and then release the button. 
  2. Your access data for the POPP Home camera is now reset. Delete POPP Home from your app and add it again. 
  3. The access data are now set to factory defaults:

Username: admin

Password: (leave them empty)


IMPORTANT: Your Z-Wave devices and scenes will all remain intact and will not be reset.
